Fairy Tale Part 2
Kathy was making the long journey back home, carrying the bulky load across her shoulders and grumbling. "If it weren't for that person on the horse I might have more food for the family. I should have just grabbed it and run away."
Dragging her feet across the sandy path, Kathy started humming a tune that her mum sang. She couldn't remember most of the words, so she added in her own words as and when she felt like it. Just when she was starting with the first note, she hear a voice calling from behind. Turning around, she saw a man on a horse approaching her.

"Wait don't go!!"

Oh my god.. he's going to lock me in the dungeons for taking what's not mine.

"Stop!!"

Oh no!!! He is on a horse while I am struggling with this damn load. Should I just
throw it away and run?

"Didn't I ask you to stop?"

Where can I hide? Where can I hide?

"Hey.. This is for.."

Kathy's thoughts were interrupted by a voice which, all of a sudden, became so close and clear. Turning her head towards the voice, she saw that the man had already dismounted from the horse and was walking beside her.

"Argh! You.. Argh!!" Kathy spluttered and without thinking, swung the load towards the man. In times of shock or distress Kathy's strength could actually increase exponentionally. The man said no more and fell like a bag of sand, the rations on his hand dropped neatly at Kathy's feet.

"Huh? Did this guy come just to pass me the rations? Did I kil him with a bag of cloth?" Kathy stared at the rations like a cat observing its prey. For a moment she could not think of any suitable reason to justify her actions just now, but she did know that the man was still stacked underneath the big bag. She lifted the bag to check for any signs of murder, and as she inched closer to look at the man's face, he opened his eyes and let out a gasp. "What the hell happened?!" That very moment Artoria regained his senses, he jumped up with a start and felt a sharp pain on his forehead. When he looked around he saw a lady lying down unconscious with a bleeding nose. (To be continued..)
